The Exorcist

$35.00

The Exorcist, by William Peter Blatty. New York: Harper & Row, 1971. Book Club Edition.

In 1949, Jesuit priests allegedly exorcised a demon from an anonymous 14-year-old boy. This story struck a chord for Blatty, and led him to explore the horrors of demon possession fully in The Exorcist. The result is both a masterpiece and a haunting paranormal nightmare replete with psychological and spiritual terror. I’m pairing this one with this horror story of a cactus because, much like young Regan MacNeil, I’m becoming convinced that it too is possessed. It refuses to grow and seems determined to wilt despite all my best plant-dad efforts. Alas, I don’t live in a desert.

A good BCE copy in a slightly sad but stalwartly present dust jacket, which I’ve now covered with mylar. Book is solidly intact and pages are clean. Owner signature on ffp.
