frequently asked questions

Are you on social media?

Yes, please give us a follow on instagram @greenknightbooks.

Are your plants for sale?

No. We absolutely support you in your plant collecting, but we can only help you with your book collecting.

When will I get my book?

We recommend creating an account with us to track the status of your purchases. We typically ship every book via USPS Media Mail. You should receive a tracking number shortly after your book has shipped.

Do you ship internationally?

Shipping books internationally is sometimes cost-prohibitive. As a rule, we only offer shipping within the United States, but can make special arrangements on a case-by-case basis. If your shipping address is outside the US, please contact us for an estimate of shipping charges.

How do you price your books?

We aim for a fair, competitive price for all our books, taking into consideration: current market value (how much similar copies have sold for recently), rarity, and time and care put into sourcing, cataloging, and assessing a book.

Where do you get your books?

You’re asking a chef for the recipe to his secret sauce!? Just kidding (kind of). This is undeniably the most-asked question on this list. The short answer is: anywhere and everywhere. We spend hours a day combing every online marketplace for rare books. We hunt through thrift shops, library sales, estate sales, auctions, used bookstores, and more, looking for gems. It’s a lot of sifting through junk, but the hardest part is knowing how to spot something special when you see it. That comes with years of practice.

Do you have a brick-and-mortar shop?

No. Green Knight Books is online-only, at least for now.
